Time to promote the research and development in India

Sarvshreshth explains, Patient safety is a global health priority, how we can provide safety to the same and other patients to prevent the contagion of COVID-19. It's time to think and redesign the infrastructure for a great future. We have to create an infrastructure and system, which is flexible to adapt to the situation in a short span of time. I think, for me, it has to be seen as an opportunity and treat it as a challenge. It is the time to promote research and development in India as well as all over the globe and the government has to participate and provide the infrastructure. Today, Indian medical devices and hospital industry need research-oriented technology, institutes, and education guidelines to serve the globe. This can create a lot of employability and open the ways, how to tackle problems like these. And we had done this earlier, probably today; we are fighting much better with the situation, he says.

Patient safety day - Safe health workers, Safe patients

Sarvshreshth speaks on his contribution towards the safety of the health workers, “As you know, I am an employee working in a medical device industry; my organization is doing good in the healthcare sector to provide safety for frontline workers, patients, and all people by developing new technologies and doing research in the same. One thing that is most important we are providing instruments, technologies, and equipment to hospital and frontline workers to serve the nation. We are manufacturing different types of medical devices and export all over the globe to fight this situation. So today we are manufacturing N-95 mask, COVID-19 test kits specialized for COVID-19 at an affordable price to collect the sample and much more,” he says.

Innovation is the mother or need

Sarvshreshth sheds light on the Digital age and how Healthcare being highly influenced by technology trends will support patient safety today, “Innovation is the mother or need, and today we need new digital technologies to serve more people in a short time. While we talk about the adoption of new technologies it’s a matter of practice and experiments. In the past also the same practice had been done to develop new technologies. We adopt which is better for us. I have great faith that the research sector will be promoted by the govt. and adopted by great students to serve the globe and humanity,” he says.

AI gives speed as well as accuracy

Sarvshreshth talks on how they ensure proper patient safety when diagnostic errors, healthcare-acquired infections, medication errors, readmissions, wrong-site surgery, and communication, are the major patient safety issues, “Today, we have developed AI technology for digital-electronic and other devices. This is the tool that gives us speed as well as accuracy to serve. As you noticed, I have great faith in research and development in this sector; it is a matter of practice and great learning. We have developed new things and there is a lot more to develop. New technologies can do the same in the upcoming days. We are still doing well in terms of surety and security to give the better error-free accuracy,” he says.
