Swedish atmosphere dissident Greta Thunberg has given a $100,000 prize she won from a Danish establishment to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) for use against the COVID-19 pandemic, the world body said Thursday.
It was a brave step from her as she says "Like the atmosphere emergency, the coronavirus pandemic is a kid rights emergency," Thunberg, 17, was cited as saying in the UNICEF articulation.
"It will influence all kids, presently and in the long haul, yet defenseless gatherings will be affected the most," she included. She has been influencing millions across the globe for their focus towards climate change. She has been recently been listed in the world's most powerful list of women from Forbes.
"I'm requesting that everybody step up and go along with me on the side of UNICEF's crucial work to spare kids' lives, to ensure the wellbeing and proceed with training."
The Danish enemy of neediness non-administrative association, Human Act, will coordinate the $100,000 gift, the announcement included.
UNICEF said the assets would give it a lift as it battles to help youngsters affected by hostile to infection lockdowns and school terminations, especially in the fields of "nourishment deficiencies, stressed medicinal services frameworks, brutality and lost training."
