MicroGO a biotech firm, raises Rs 6 crore in a pre-Series A round

The need for simple, easily accessible, and effective hand hygiene products and SOPs that can be monitored in real-time is a critical component of any program, particularly in warehouses where employee awareness and regular training can be a challenge.

MicroGo, an R&D-based manufacturing company based in Chennai, was founded in 2016 by Rachna Dave. It focuses on the problems of 'Safe & Save' in Water, Food, and Sanitation.

Through innovative technologies that deliver real science and provide profitability and environmental sustainability, the biotech firm aims to provide 360° sanitation and infection control solutions to its customers.

MicroGO, a biotech company that provides hygiene and infection control solutions, has raised Rs. 6 crores in Pre-Series A funding from Kolkata-based angel investors. The funds will primarily be used to improve MicroGO's sales and marketing efforts.

MicroGO's journey began in 2016 and ended in 2022 with product commercialization. The company claims to have received patents in 90 days. MicroGO recently released GO assure MAX, an IoT-enabled hand hygiene solution that automates hand hygiene, ensures compliance monitoring, and saves water and other operational costs, allowing businesses to maintain consistent hygiene practices.

"This is a critical juncture for us to scale our business as we focus on expanding the reach of our products and solutions," Rachna Dave, founder, and CEO of MicroGO said.  We will be able to strengthen our presence in India with this infusion of capital by expanding our reach network and hiring on-the-ground hygiene consultants."

Since its inception, the company has grown to include clients from a variety of industries, including food and beverage, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, commercial and residential complexes, and hospitality. Airport Authority of India, Indian Army, IHCL (Taj and Vivanta), IRCTC, and Apollo Hospitals are among those involved.

They provide Safe, Assured, and Sustainable Hygiene and Infection Control Solutions.
