In the Union Territory of Puducherry, the covid 19 recovery rate has improved to 97.4 percent, and the fatality rate has come down to 1.66 percent.

In the Union Territory of Puducherry, the covid 19 recovery rate has improved to 97.4 percent, and the fatality rate has come down to 1.66 percent.

The number of new cases has been showing a declining trend for the past few days, with 33 new cases reported today.

According to the COVID 19 statistics released by the health department, Of the 33 new cases, 18 cases from the Puducherry region, 4 cases from Karaikal, 9 cases from Mahe, and 2 cases from the Yanam region. For the past few days, the Mahe region has shown a slightly increasing trend of covid 19 cases.

Only one death has been reported from the Puducherry region. 26  persons were discharged from hospitals.

Presently, 172 persons are being treated in hospitals and another 183 positive cases are under home isolation with a total number of 355 active cases in Puducherry.
