Coronavirus Update :2nd case in India ,first death outside China

Within three days of detecting the first positive case of a novel coronavirus in Kerala, the State confirmed another definite case of the virus infection on Sunday.Again a student from Wuhan who was suspected to be under the bout of the threatening virus was kept in isolation for monitoring, since he returned to India on January 24, reveals the Union health ministry.

India’s first case of novel coronavirus case was reported from Thrissur. Till date, 1,793 people who came from coronavirus-affected nations were identified among them, 70 have been placed in selected isolation facilities and rest 1,723 are under observation at home, a medical bulletin reported. KK Shailaja, Kerala Health Minister has asked people to defer their social events, including weddings.


People who have travelled to China since January 1 have been asked to do their check-up at the nearest health facility if they sense any symptoms like fever, cough or breathing trouble. Above 52,000 passengers from 326 flights are screened at different airports across the country till Saturday and 97 travellers have been referred to isolation facilities.
Following reports of over 300 deaths due to the virus, on Sunday, India temporarily suspended the e-visa facility for Chinese travellers and foreigners residing in China. If someone has compelling reasons to travel to India they can contact the Embassy of India in Beijing or the Indian consulates in Shanghai or Guangzhou.


Meanwhile, A 44-year-old Chinese man who travelled from Wuhan to the Philippines has died on Saturday in a hospital in Manila, the Philippines Department of Health reveals. The Philippines extended its travel ban to all foreigners flying in from.Around 171 cases are reported in more than 24 other countries and regions, including the US, Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong and Britain. Beijing is facing increased isolation as the nations implemented travel restrictions, suspension of flights, which risks worse slowdown in the world's second-largest economy.


Indonesia restricted entry to visitors who have been in China for 14 days. Russia reportedly announced visa restrictions and about to start evacuation of Russian citizens on Monday and Tuesday. More than 100 Germans are evacuated from Wuhan and 250 Indonesians are evacuated from Hubei.Japan is in the process to send another chartered plane during the week to bring back Japanese nationals who are still in Hubei, it's foreign ministry said.
