We are what we eat. Here are three foods that control excessive hair fall and promote hair growth.

We are what we eat. By constantly feeding on junk food, we compromise on many essential nutrients and minerals. Missing good nourishment is the prime reason why we face many diseases and deficiencies. A key way junk food affects us is by robbing us of our good hair health. By focusing on better food options we can control our hair fall significantly.

Here are three foods that control excessive hair fall.

Nuts and Seeds

These tiny yet nutrition-dense food packets are loaded with essential ingredients that can help us stop our hair fall. Omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin E, zinc, selenium and more are packed into these foods. The latter two are nutrients that our body cannot make by itself and hence it relies on our food. They also promote hair growth and significantly reduce hair fall.

Fruits

Fruits are providers of essential vitamins and antioxidants. They protect our hair roots and fight free radicals. They also provide vitamin C which boosts the absorption of iron that helps decrease hair loss. Vitamin C also helps absorb collagen, a type of protein, that helps build hair strength.

Green Leafy Vegetables

Green leafy vegetables like spinach and methi have incredible benefits for our hair. They have a great quantity of zinc, vitamin B, vitamin E and essential fatty acids that can put a stop to your hair fall. It also contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory elements that promote hair growth. They also have a tremendous amount of folate which promotes hair health significantly.

Along with good food and diet, one must also engage in exercise. Exercise can boost the blood flow in your body which will help the blood to reach your scalp. Make sure if you exercise regularly, you also wash your hair regularly. Sweat and dirt can get easily accumulated in your scalp, making it lose more hair.
