State government is mulling to make the BYL Nair hospital in Mumbai a Covid 19 only facility to accomodate the rising cases of the pandemic in Mumbai.Though the decision was taken on Saturday by the covid task force of the state the final nod is yet to come as senior doctors are opposed to the idea.

According to them this will hamper the admissions to graduate and post graduiate courses and shifting of the existing critical care patients.Also the hospital needs to be transformed to accomodate the patients which may not be possible given the logistics nightmare.
