Many mothers put towels, pans, pins, etc. in the ear to remove the dirt accumulated in the ears of children. This can cause ear infections in the child. Apart from this, there are many people who keep cleaning their ears again and again with the help of earbuds. In this condition also ear infections can occur. That's why you should avoid cleaning the ear frequently.

Swimming

Even going to the swimming pool can cause ear infections in summer. Many times water gets into the ear due to swimming. Later we forget to clean the ear, due to this the moisture gets accumulated in the ear. This can lead to infection inside the ear. Many times water gets into the ear even while taking a bath, so after bathing and after swimming, you must also clean your ears.

Medical Condition

Diabetes can also be a cause of ear infections. In the case of diabetes, you can get two types of ear infections. In this, the infection can occur inside the ear or outside the ear. Infections inside the ear are more painful and dangerous. Infection inside the ear can also cause infection in the brain.

Apart from this, an ear infection is common in HIV patients, those who take steroids. Actually, the immunity of these people is weak, due to which they become vulnerable to ear infections.

Dirt in the ear

Many times, while playing, children put various things, dust and soil in their ears. Long-term exposure to dirt in the ear can cause bacteria to grow. This can cause an ear infection.

People who have had ear infections before or in childhood are more likely to get ear infections again.

Ear Infection Prevention

Most of the people mistook the wax deposited in the ear as dirt. In such a situation, they keep cleaning it again and again. While this is the wax deposited in the ear, this wax prevents dirt, bacteria from getting inside the ear. To prevent ear infections, you have to pay attention to some important things.

Change the habit of cleaning the ears frequently. You can do ear cleaning once a month. Avoid putting ear cleaning buds in the ear daily or once a week. If dirt has accumulated in your ear, then go to the ENT doctor for this. For this, the doctor puts a drop in the ear, due to which the ear wax comes out of the ear. You should also avoid putting water in the ear to avoid ear infections. Avoid swimming to avoid ear infections. This can cause water to enter the ear. Steroids should be taken in moderation to avoid ear infections. Or stop taking it. Apart from this, diabetic patients can also get ear infections. That's why it is important to keep your blood sugar level under control. If you have frequent ear infections, then contact the ENT doctor for this.
