Chhattisgarh Government has now permitted social, religious, political, entertainment and sports activities in all areas outside the Containment Zones in the state.

According to the guidelines issued by the General Administration Department of the Government of Chhattisgarh, it will be mandatory to strictly follow the Standard Operating Procedure during social, religious, political, entertainment and sports activities. Individuals wearing face masks will only be allowed to attend the events.

The organizers will have to make arrangements of soap, water and sanitizer at the venue. Also, safe distance will have to be followed among the people to participate in the program. In these programmes, individuals with no symptoms of corona will only be allowed to participate.

Meanwhile, under the Corona Intensive Community Survey Campaign in Chhattisgarh, about 56,0,000 households have been surveyed so far.

Door to door survey is being conducted by the health department in rural and urban areas under the campaign to identify the Corona patients. During this period, over one lakh sixteen thousand patients have been identified with symptoms resembling corona infection.

In the state, the number of corona infected patients has reached to almost 1,50,000. Meanwhile, the state government has issued guidelines regarding the Navratri festival, stating that no devotees will enter the pandal of Durga idols without a face mask. The organizing committees will have to make arrangements for sanitizer, hand wash and thermal screening in the pandals. The idol of Maa Durga should not be more than six feet.

During the Dussehra festival, the organizers will be allowed for the Ravana combustion program after they furnish an affidavit to follow the relevant guidelines. No more than fifty persons will be able to participate in the program and the height of the effigies of Ravana shall not exceed ten feet.
