In the outbreak of Coronavirus in China, India prepares to airlift its citizens from Wuhan city—the epicentre. On Wednesday, China said that it would take all necessary arrangements and provide full assistance if any country "insists" on evacuating its nationals.Countries like the US, France, Japan, South Korea, are also speeding up arrangements to airlift their nationals.

The coronavirus, which first emerged in Wuhan late December, has already claimed 132 lives and infected nearly 6,000 others and spread to at least 17 countries. For over 250 Indians, mostly students and professionals, who are to be evacuated the Indian Embassy has circulated online forms seeking their permission for a 14-day quarantine in India.
The Embassy also sought their credentials like full name, passport numbers and addresses to prepare a final list to fly back home.India has requested the Chinese government for permission to work two flights to bring back its nationals from Hubei province, consistent with officials.

Foreign nationals from neighbouring Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and far off African countries were reportedly stranded in Hubei province.Reportedly, the Indian Embassy has compiled a list of Indians to be flown out.
