Back at India some of the medical start ups are trying to introduce the technology for the ease of operation,home appointments and cheaper alternative to mammography.The technology can serve as regular means of check up at nominal price making it perfect for a developing country.

Breast cancer has ranked number one cancer among Indian females with age adjusted rate as high as 25.8 per 100,000 women and mortality 12.7 per 100,000 women while Breast cancer projection for India during time periods 2020 suggests the number to go as high as 1797900 with more incidence at the 30 -40 age bracket.The technology can be effectively used to screen and check the rise if adopted by government and private healthcare organizations.
