▴ Eppendorf SmartBlock for cell thawing: reproducible and reliable process
The new exchangeable thermoblockSmartBlockcryo thaw provides a dedicated thawing program for a reproducible and reliable thawing of cells from frozen storage conditions to +37 °C

Eppendorf offers now a further building block in supporting scientists with tailored solutions for the daily lab routine: Controlled and reliable cell thawing is mandatory for further downstream experiments in every cell handling lab.

Although water-bath based or even manual thawing of cells is still commonly used, these methods are not the desired ones due to their limited reproducibility.

The well-known Eppendorf ThermoMixer C with heating/ cooling/ mixing function now received a further upgrade to support scientists working with cell culture: The new exchangeable thermoblockSmartBlockcryo thaw provides a dedicated thawing program for a reproducible and reliable thawing of cells from frozen storage conditions to +37 °C.

This additional function of the ThermoMixer supports the diversity approach of the Eppendorf mixer family to handle all commonly used lab consumables whenever there is a need for temperature control and mixing. A reliable partner at the bench for the daily workload in the lab.

Eppendorf is a leading life science company that develops and sells instruments, consumables, and services for liquid handling, sample handling, and cell handling in laboratories worldwide.
