[Delayed Funding Alert]
Women’s health tech startup, Kiira Health had raised $4 million in seed funds from 500 Global and Forum VC. Other investors are California Healthcare Foundation, Serena Ventures and more.
This Los Angeles-based company was founded by Crystal Adesanya. Adesanya herself wished she could have a similar platform when she was young. It would have made difference in her life.
Kiira reaches out to young women with their offerings in primary care, mental health services and gynaecological advice. The prime USP of the company is to include services for multicultural women, particularly at the college and university levels.
The funds will be used to add diverse team members and reach out to more customers. Women remain the most underserved group in healthcare. Kiira plans to bridge the gap between women and quality care.
Globally, $7.5 billion were invested in telehealth startups in the first nine months of 2021. This is one-third of the investment made in digital health companies.
