In France, 299 more people had died in hospital of Friday from COVID-19 in 24 hours, scaling the death toll from the an epidemic to 1,995.
Top French health official Jerome Salomon reveals that thus far 32,964 people had tested positive in France, though the actual number of cases is likely quite higher as testing was done to only high-risk patients. The only solace is that the count of death is lower than 365 that was reported on Thursday. There is a twist: France toll count doesn’t include if anyone died at home or at retirement homes but now it would be announced from Monday says Salomon.
Presently, 3,787 Coronavirus infected patients were in intensive care out of a total of 15,732 hospitalised in France.
