Grammy-winning American vocalist John Prine has been hospitalized for coronavirus and is in "basic" condition, his family said Sunday.
"After an unexpected beginning of Covid-19 side effects, John was hospitalized on Thursday," his family said in an announcement presented on the nation and society artist's Twitter account.
"He was intubated Saturday night, and keeps on accepting consideration, however his circumstance is basic," the announcement said.
A productive lyricist and frequently offbeat entertainer, Prine, 73, was granted a Grammy Lifetime Achievement grant in January.
He has had past medical procedures for malignancy in his neck and lung, and last July he rescheduled up and coming visit dates after specialists prompted him he confronted a stroke hazard and required medical procedure.
