With the onset of monsoon in the country, the risk of getting dengue also increases. In fact, dengue spreads most during the rainy season and the subsequent months, from July to October, because this season has favorable conditions for mosquitoes to thrive. The mosquito that causes dengue is named Maja Aedes mosquito. If we talk about the appearance of this mosquito, then it is different from the normal mosquito in appearance as there are leopard-like stripes on its body. These mosquitoes often bite under the light. Reports have revealed that dengue mosquitoes bite during the day, especially in the morning. At the same time, if there is more light at night, then it can bite mosquitoes. So we need to take care of these mosquitoes more in the morning and during the day.
To mark the day, the Health Ministry has listed a series of simple measures through which Dengue can be prevented. Surroundings must be kept clean to protect oneself from mosquito bites. Stagnation of water in containers must be avoided to prevent mosquito breeding. Coolers must be checked and cleaned on a weekly basis. Water tanks and containers must be covered with tight lids. People should use mosquito nets or repellents and long-sleeved clothes. The water in flower vases, aquariums, and birdbaths must be changed every week.
