Hair care venture Traya Health has raised $2.2 million in their pre-Series A funding round, led by Fireside Ventures. Existing investors Kae Capital and Whiteboard Capital also participated in the round. Kannan Sitaram, partner at Fireside Ventures, will join the startup's board.

Traya Health (formerly known as Tatva Health) is a Mumbai-based startup that helps millennials get doctor prescribed and customised hair loss solutions at the tap of a finger. They approach to deal the customer’s hair loss problem through a holistic approach.

Founded by Saloni Anand and Altaf Saiyed, Traya has developed a 3 sciences solution — Ayurveda, allopathy, and nutrition — to create a comprehensive and personalized treatment plan for hair loss. The name itself reflects this threefold method of dealing with hair loss. ‘Traya’ in Sanskrit refers to the threefold way.

The hair care industry is flooded with false claiming products that do not have any clinical efficacy or research backing. Traya is different. It takes responsibility for the results. It offers a 5-month money guarantee if the promised results are not seen.

They had previously raised Rs 4.5 crore of seed funding by Kae Capital and Whiteboard Capital. With the seed funds, they rebranded themselves from Tatva Health to Traya Health.
