Faculty members from multiple departments of IIT-Goa are coming together to find out the extent respiratory droplets from human sneezing and coughing spread of the deadly COVID-19 as its pandemic is taking a toll across the world.  As the droplets from the infected person can be in the room even after the person leaves the room, the practice of safe distancing will dependent on the lifespan of the droplet as well as the extent of its spread, says the researchers.

The empirical approach of the IIT-Goa researchers is to study the consequences of the atmospheric condition by defining the spread and the lifetime of the droplets.
