With 57 fresh Coronavirus cases in Rajasthan on Friday–maximum on a single day –the total count in the desert State rose to 520. The state’s COVID-19 cases have been doubling rapidly. The number first doubled from 100 to 200 cases in three days between April 1 and April 4 again from 200 to 400 cases between April 4 and April 9. Rajasthan’s Ramganj emerged to be a hotspot of COVID-19 after 15 cases are reported over the past two weeks. Swabs are being collected by health workers going door-to-door. Incidentally, 50% of the infected people from Ramganj were attendees of Tablighi Jamaat’s international congregation.
