But how could you be sure that these delivery boys are not carrying the virus to your door? It concerned the aggregators too. Zomato in pursuit to make it safer has started displaying the body temperature of the rider on the app. China has been doing this for a while. The temperature of the delivery executive will get displayed on the app as soon as he picks up the order from the restaurant. Most of the Zomato’s restaurant partners are using thermal sensing devices to see the body temperature of the delivery executive, before handing over the pickup and they are allowed to pick the order if the sensing machine shows his temperature is normal.
