Maharashtra’s COVID-19 tally has been witnessing a gradual decline with 4,009 fresh cases reported yesterday. According to the state health department, 104 patients succumbed to the infection, taking the death toll to 44,128.

The significant drop is attributed to the relentless efforts of the government.

It was reported that in the state, 10,225 patients were discharged during yesterday taking the total number of recoveries in the state to 15,24,304. The number of active cases in the state stands at 1,18,777.

Mumbai reported 706 new cases, taking the total caseload to 2,59,111. A total of 2,30, 232 patients have recovered so far in the city. The number of active cases in the city stood at 17,982. In its bid to get more effective control over the spread of covid-19, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation is providing free covid-19 testing facilities at 244 places.
Some of these places have RTPCR method medical testing facilities while the rest have antigen-based medical testing facilities.

On the other hand, the Family Court in Mumbai makes it compulsory for lawyers and litigants entering its premises to undergo Antigen test for free, starting from today. Court’s registrar confirmed the same and said that the step has been taken to ensure everyone is safe and protected from the virus.
