Experts suggest that India could become a subsequent global hotspot for virus cases, and warns containment measures that proved successful elsewhere in Asia might not add India.
India that has thus far reported 169 cases of infections and three deaths, is trying to block the virus by closing its borders, testing travellers in airports apart from contact tracing from one who is tested positive.
Experts are also of beliefs that for India, with above 1.3 billion population, that won’t be enough to contain the spread. The organic measures like widespread testing and social distancing may not be feasible in densely populated cities and rickety health infrastructure.
