Latest COVID News update from Tripura, Mizoram and Nagaland

In Tripura, the number of active cases of Covid-19 is declining. As of today, the number of active cases has dropped down at 282. According to the state health bulletin, so far 32,374 patients infected with the virus have been cured, out of the total 33,057 positive cases registered so far. On the other, nine new cases were recorded with the recovery of 30 infected people in the past 24 hours. Also, death of two patients was reported yesterday taking the toll to 375. As of today, the recovery rate has further improved to 98% in the state. The health bulletin also stated that over 5,56,000 samples have been tested till yesterday evening.

In Mizoram, active cases of Covid-19 infections are declining. So far 3,894 infected people have been discharged from different Covid care centres after recovery, while the number of active cases has dropped down to 179. In the past 24 hours, the state has recorded 31 new cases while 24 patients recovered from the coronavirus infection taking the tally to 4080. According to the state medical bulletin, the recovery rate has improved to 96.14%.

Nagaland’s COVID-19 tally mounted up to 11,761 with detection of 33 fresh positive cases yesterday. Health and Family Welfare Minister S. Pangnyu Phom in a tweet said, 15 cases were detected from Kohima, 8 each in Mokokchung and Dimapur and 2 from Peren. Besides, 31 patients have recovered from the infection which included 25 from Dimapur and 6 in Kohima. Of the cases reported yesterday, 29 were from traced contacts, 2 from Armed Forces and 1 each from returnee and frontline worker. Out of 72 deaths registered, 62 died due to COVID, 7 deaths are non COVID while 3 deaths are under investigation. So far, 127 cases have migrated. Presently, 10,970 have recovered, while 592 cases are active.
