Yesterday, 18,166 healthcare workers were vaccinated at 267 centres in the state

Maharashtra on Wednesday completed three vaccination sessions. The state government has put out the consolidated numbers of the vaccination drive that started on January 15. As per the reports collected till 7 pm on Wednesday, a total of 51,660 healthcare workers have been vaccinated so far.

On Wednesday,18,166 healthcare workers were vaccinated at 267 centres in the state.

The state has been administering Serum Institute's Covishield and Bharat Biotech's Covaxin at various centres. Six centres in the state have been selected for Biotech's Covaxin. A total of 881 people have been vaccinated with Covaxin in the state so far.

The vaccination drive was postponed in the state for two days on January 16 due to some technical glitch in the Co-Win app. The vaccination drive resumed on January 18. Vaccination in the state will take place four days a week - Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Meanwhile, Mumbai recorded 501 new Covid-19 cases and nine deaths on Wednesday. Mumbai's active cases were at 6,654 while recovery rate was 94 per cent with the doubling rate being 411 days.
