Maharashtra reported 3558 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, taking the state’s total number of infected people to 19,69,114. Maharashtra’s recovery rate stands at 94.65 percent while the case fatality rate stands at 2.54 percent.

Maharashtra reported 3558 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, taking the state’s total number of infected people to 19,69,114.

According to the state’s public health department, 2302 patients were discharged during the day, taking the total number of recoveries to 18,63,702. With 34 fatalities, the death toll has risen to 50061. The number of active cases in the state stands at 54,179.

 
Maharashtra’s recovery rate stands at 94.65 percent while the case fatality rate stands at 2.54 percent.
 
In Mumbai, the total number of affected people has increased by 657 to 2,98,892. The city reported 5 deaths taking the toll to 11186 while 2,79,643 patients have recovered so far. Mumbai currently has 7184 active cases of coronavirus infection.
