In Maharashtra, with 3,160 new cases, the total caseload of coronavirus patients has increased to 19,50,171.
According to the state’s public health department, 2,828 patients discharged today, taking the number of total recoveries to 18,50,189.
The state reported 64 fatalities today, taking the death toll to 49,759.
The number of active cases in the state stands at 49,067.
Maharashtra’srecovery rate stands at 94.87 percent while the case fatality rate stands at2.55 percent.
Maharashtra has conducted 1.30 crore tests so far and the positivity rate stands at 14.93percent.
Meanwhile, Mumbai’s Additional Municipal Commissioner Suresh Kakani has informed that two of the five patients who had tested positive for the UK strain of coronavirus have recovered from the infection. The condition of the remaining three is stable.
