India is the third most affected country by the pandemic behind the United States and Brazil, with its coronavirus tally reaching nearly 3.7 million on Tuesday.

Malaysia on Tuesday said it would bar section of long term immigration pass holders from India, Indonesia, and the Philippines from September 7, in an offer to reduce imported COVID-19  cases in the midst of a spate of new groups in the nation.

Healthcare experts in Southeast Asia's third-biggest economy have recorded more than 9,300 cases as of Tuesday, and 128 passings, with new cases found in bunches recognized in any event four states.

The section prohibition on pass holders from the three nations will incorporate permanent residents, expatriates, students and those on spouse visas  of Malaysia's My Second Home program, senior priest Ismail Sabri Yaakob said.
