The number of COVID-19 cases soars to 2,625 in Delhi on Saturday, with 111 fresh cases and one death being reported according to authorities.
Among others, a nurse at the Hindu Rao Hospital run by the North Delhi Municipal Corporation tested positive for coronavirus on Saturday, and soon after the report came the facility is temporarily shut for complete sanitization and contact tracing, they said.
At the same time nine more staffs of Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital, including three doctors were tested positive for Coronavirus, surging the number of people affected by COVID-19 to over 40, officials said.
Of the total 54 fatalities reported thus far, 29 of the deceased were aged 60 and above, 15 aged between 50-59 and 10 below 50 years. With one more fresh death case, the toll from COVID-19 in Delhi rose to 54.
