Researchers in UK have broken a long standing myth – if you are overweight, you have less chances of finding a partner for intimacy compared to thinner folks. For the study published in the journal PLOS One, researchers from the University College London and Anglia Ruskin University in UK, chose nearly 5,000 sexually active British people.
It was observed that spouses in satisfying relationships had a very relaxed attitude towards maintaining their weight because they are no longer motivated to attract a mate. Therefore, overweight people are more likely to engage in frequent sexual activity in comparison with thinner males.
According to the study among sexually active people, fat males were a third more likely to in indulge in sex the previous week. Likelihood of having sex in the past year was the same for both types of people, except that fat men did it more often as the confidence to fat ratio is directly proportional.
