Cancer warning signs a woman should not ignore

It is an established fact that the most common cancers that women in India suffer from are breast cancer, cervical cancer, ovarian cancer and uterus cancer. These cancers constitute more than 50% cancers in woman in India.

What is important and imperative is recognising the symptoms and consulting a gynaecologist for the same. This can help early detection and treatment. The following are the symptoms you should not be ignoring.

Abnormal vaginal bleeding : Although it can have many causes like hormonal imbalance, medications, fibroid in uterus, but if abnormal bleeding occurs regularly you should take medical advice.

Unintentional weight loss : If you are losing weight without any reason i. e. modification in diet or exercise, there is a reason to worry. Weight loss may be related to thyroid, but it can also related to stomach or pancreatic cancer.

Changes in Lymph nodes : These are present in the neck, chest, pelvic and abdomen region. They get enlarged because of infection in the body, but blood cancer cannot be ruled out either. Keep a watch, and if you find anything unusual, consult your doctor.
