One or two servings of spinach, lettuce and kale daily keeps your brain 11 years younger as well as prevent dementia, says study.
The study found that people who ate at least one serving of green, leafy vegetables a day had slower rate of decline on tests of memory and thinking skills than people who never or rarely ate these vegetables.
In case of Dementia 960 people with an average age of 81 who did not have dementia were followed for an average of 4.7 years. Over 10 years of follow up, the rate of decline who ate the most leafy green was slower by 0.05 standardise units per year than the rate for those who ate the least leafy green. This difference was equivalent to being 11 years younger in age.
