Inability to smell may point to infertility in men

15% men in India suffer from infertility.

While female infertility is a problem that is well-known and well accepted, male infertility is something that is a subject that is brushed under the carpet. The fact is 15% men in India are infertile and the percentage is increasing day by day.

It has become imperative in today’s times to not only know but also discuss about male infertility openly. There are many factors that cause infertility in men. Genetic problem is the most common of all. If your father has struggled to reproduce, it’s possible that the problem may be passed down to you. Any kind of injury on the reproductive organ can also lead to infertility problem.

There are various symptoms of infertility. Check if there is swelling or lump in testicles. Inability to smell also points towards infertility. Another sign could be a surge in your breast area. Losing hair from your body and face is also an indication. The most sure-shot is the extremely low sperm count.

General treatment is effective only in the initial stages. Later on IVF or other procedures may need to be opted for to treat infertility.
