The world is noisy and there is a need for people to start listening. This is one of the key themes of Davos this year. The world has reached a state of conflict and nationalism, mainly from the overwhelming fear of rapid change which makes people adopt a bunkered approach and very inward-looking, and self-focused. The world requires a win-win approach that will enable people to create constructive solutions.
The same analogy and problem is showing in people’s health. There is no focus on small broken messages from the body from increasing body weight, increased stress, increased burnout and increasing incidence of cancer; the need of the hour is a more engaged patient who is an engaged consumer who gets up and takes control of their own health as today’s disease otter is mostly triggered by own lifestyle and behaviours.
My greatest take away from Davos is that whether it comes to Economy or personal health; it requires a conscious effort by an individual to engage and be in the mindset to find a solution and be active in its execution. At the end of the day, Health impacts productivity; productivity drives consumption and corresponding economic growth propels societies forward.”
