In Assam, several eminent persons have joined the Jan Andolan for COVID-19 Appropriate Behaviour in view of the upcoming festivals and the winter season as well as the opening up of the economy.
Appreciating the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal urged people of the state to wear masks, wash hands and maintain social distance.
Mr. Sonowal said that Assam is unitedly fighting against the COVID pandemic. Actor Adil Hussein, Pranjal Saikia, Nipon Goswami and boxer Lovlina Borgohain have also urged people to keep themselves safe.
In a message to the people through AIR News, Adil Hussein said that though lockdown norms have been relaxed, people should follow the health protocols.
AIR correspondent reports, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has led the state in the Jan Andolan to prevent the further spread of the COVID-19 ahead of the upcoming festival.
In a message, the Chief Minister urged people to remain and follow all guidelines issued by the Health Department.
Several actors, sportspersons, writers have also joined in the campaign.
