In Kerala, the Thiruvananthapuram City Council has stepped up preventive measures in the wake of the confirmed Zika virus  outbreak in the city.

City Corporation Mayor Arya Rajendran assured that arrangements have been made for Zika virus prevention activities at the various COVID Control Rooms set up throughout the city. Presently, 22 active Zika virus cases are there in Kerala.
