There are many changes in the body of post-menopausal women. One of them is the serious problem of weight gain. Due to many metabolic changes, there is a possibility of increasing fat in the body. All these changes coming in the body together can increase heart-related problems. After post-menopause, women are often less active and gradually this affects their self-confidence.

A recent new study shows that if you dance three times a week, there can be many positive changes in the body.

The purpose of this study was to see how dance affects post-menopausal women's fitness, self-image, and self-esteem.

This study was done on 36 women who had gone through menopause. The average age of these women was 57 years and they danced three times a week for 90 minutes every day. Before and after 16 weeks, the dance was seen to affect their body composition, blood lipids, fitness, self-image, and self-confidence. 

What was the conclusion for dancing in post-menopausal women?

This study has been published in the magazine 'Menopause' of The North American Menopause Society (NAMS). The 16-week study found that dance was not only effective in improving postmenopausal women's lipid profile and fitness, but it also improved their self-image and self-confidence.
