USFDA gave Zydus Cadila tentative approval to market Empagliflozin tablets in the strengths of 10mg and 25mg.
The medication is used to improve blood sugar control in adults with Type2 Diabetes mellitus and also reduces the risk of cardiovascular deaths in such adults.
The medication is being manufactured at the company's manufacturing facility at SEZ, Ahmedabad. The group now has 286 approvals.
