80% of the diseases are psychosomatic which means they have roots in the mind and this is where homeopathy steps in - It resolves physical ailments by finding the cause in the mind – Dr. Sanket Dhuri, Consultant Homeopath

Mind and body is connected. Homeopathy works on the principle of resolving issues of the mind by studying every patient’s individual history. It’s based on individualization and makes lives smooth, says Dr. Sanket Dhuri.

Homeopathy is a medical system that was developed almost 200 years ago. It is based on the medical philosophy that the body can heal itself. It is a natural form of medicine used by people worldwide to treat both acute and chronic conditions.

Dr. Sanket Dhuri is a Consultant Homeopath at Siddhivinayak Homeopathic Clinic. He has been practicing classical homeopathy for 5 years. He has worked as a visiting doctor for many charitable OPD. He is also currently working for poor Adivasi tribals at Talasari Dahanu, Maharashtra, where he provides his services every Sunday. He also conducts workshops for beginners in the field of homeopathy.

Homeopathy is focused on Individualization

Dr. Sanket explains, “Conventional medicine has a fixed protocol for diagnosis and it accordingly treats patients. However, homeopathy is an individual-based approach. For example, if someone is suffering from headache, homeopathy does not focus on the generalized version of headache, rather on the individualized understanding of the headache of that person; whether it’s on the left side or forehead or some other part thereby understanding that it’s not just headache rather headache which is different from other individuals. This approach of homeopathy applies to both chronic as well as acute diseases. Homeopathy believes in individual examination and root cause analysis to come to a solution,” says Dr. Sanket.

Homeopathy is for all ailments except certain age-related problems and emergencies

Dr. Sanket mentions, “Homeopathy treats all ailments except emergency cases where there is a requirement of IPD support like oxygen, etc. Also, in age-related ailments, it provides temporary help as the issues are related to the natural degeneration of the body. Homeopathy focuses a lot on mental disorders, hormonal disorders, skin disorders, digestive troubles, regular cold and cough, migraine, etc. It also helps in post-injury or post-operative healing. There are advanced treatments in homeopathy as well for example there is something called cardiac homeopathy which is again practiced after finding the root cause of the cardiac problem,” says Dr. Sanket.

Homeopathy is for all age groups and is very helpful for pregnant women

Dr. Sanket emphasizes, “The concept of homeopathy is to stimulate health and recovery capacities of people falling under all age groups - infants to old age. Many pregnant women are stressed out during pregnancy. Homeopathy helps in relieving stress, thereby having a positive impact on the overall pregnancy leading to healthy babies. Some women’s uterus opening is tight and thus chances of normal birth get minimized and immense labor pain gets experienced. Homeopathy helps in reduction of labor pain and reduces chances of cesarean cases.”

Post-pregnancy depression and other psychological disorders get healed through homeopathy

Dr. Sanket explains, “Post-pregnancy anxiety is common in women. Since homeopathic medicine gives lots of stress on healing through the variable of mind, it helps women get relieved from post-pregnancy anxiety. Other mental ailments like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, hysterical behavior, anxiety/depression, etc. have their cure in homeopathy as it helps in mental relaxation. This treatment therapy focuses into the history of the problem which mostly has roots in the mind. It works on the principle of the mind-body connection to deal with any ailments.”

Mild covid symptoms can be reduced through homeopathy

Dr. Sanket says, “If there are mild covid symptoms, homeopathy can help relieve the discomfort. It also helps relax minds which are suffering from anxiety of Covid. Even when there are ICU requirements, homeopathic treatment can be given alongside.”
