It has been used for centuries in the treatment of eye diseases, oral diseases, mumps, stomach diseases, respiratory disorders, heart diseases, and wounds. It also helps in reducing heart and respiratory problems, here are some amazing medicinal properties of licorice.

Take care of the heart - In today's time, heart-related diseases are on rising. In such a situation, consuming it helps in better blood flow in the body. It helps to keep the heart healthy by controlling the cholesterol level, thus preventing heart attack.

Controls Weight - Due to the presence of abundant nutrients in licorice, it helps in reducing weight by reducing the extra fat stored in the body. People who are concerned about their increased weight should include licorice in their diet. 

Relief from a dry cough - Consuming licorice is very beneficial for people who have a problem with dry cough. For this, grind 2 - 4 black pepper with licorice and consume the mixture for effective and quick relief. Apart from this, you can also drink it after boiling it in water, its consumption will also help in preventing the problems of sore throat, pain, burning, etc. 

Beneficial for problems of stomach ulcer - Eating more fried roasted spicy food, give rise to the problem of stomach ulcer. To overcome this, consuming licorice root powder with water is beneficial. It helps in curing the ulcers formed in the stomach by removing the problem of acidity and indigestion.

Improves Digestive System – Most diseases start due to a bad digestive system. If the digestive system is weak, then the body will not be able to function properly. In such a situation, consuming licorice provides relief from stomach-related problems such as gas, bloating, indigestion, vomiting, constipation, etc. For preparation, add licorice powder to a cup of water and boil it. Colorectal cancer - Some scientists believe that the antioxidative properties of licorice may help reduce the risk of certain cancers, most predominately colorectal cancer.

Treat menstrual symptoms - Liquorice root is a mainstay home remedy for women with menstrual cramps and is also believed to help alleviate many of the adverse symptoms of menopause, including hot flashes.
