SGRT technology uses advanced 3D thermal camera technology, enabling real-time monitoring and tracking of patient positioning and motion during radiotherapy sessions, ensuring precise delivery of radiation to the tumor while minimizing exposure to surrounding healthy tissues. In terms of patient positioning, SGRT is an effective tool for the reduction of the overall treatment time and minimizing of imaging dose. It provides in-room online information of the complete surface and position of the patient. For superficial tumors, SGRT allows for a more accurate positioning compared to 3-point-lasers and might allow to reduce the number of daily imaging in some cases.
