One winter superfood everyone should know about are amlas. Amla or Indian gooseberry is widely known for its immense health benefits. Amla is one such fruit that is recommended by Sushruta to all body types.


Amla is packed with a high concentration of vitamin C and antioxidants. Vitamin C is essential for a healthy lifestyle. Having an amla can help you cleanse and detoxify your body. It will also protect you from winter problems of cold and cough.

Beautiful Skin

Amla contains antioxidants that can help provide a glow to your skin. It also acts as a blood purifier and thus can help get rid of blemishes on your skin. Amla also provides nourishment to your skin and scalp.

Better Digestion 

Amla contains fibre that aids the process of digestion. Some studies confirm that amla can help improve heartburn, gastroesophageal reflux disease(GRED) and even stomach ulcers.

Making Amla Juice

Amla juice can be consumed by itself. Or one can add ginger, mint and tulsi to make it more nutrient-dense. If you require some sweetness add natural honey to it. Fresh amla juice is advised instead of store brought one.
