The BEST Joint Workers Action Committee had called an indefinite shutdown from today, alleging that the health facilities of the employees were being neglected even though they were performing essential services during the Corona period. It was also said that BEST employees would not return to work following the government's announcement of 'stay at home, stay safe' as there was no response from BEST for discussion even after two days of reversing the demand. But the agitation was finally called off after the general manager's appeal.

But BEST's general manager had sent a letter to BEST employees urging them to return to work. After that, 60 per cent employees were present at work. After that, it has come to light that the entire staff was present at work. More than a hundred employees of the ‘BEST’ venture have been coronated so far. According to the unions, the workers were infected while transporting essential services from nearby cities and Mumbai.

Meanwhile, Another 44 people were infected with coronavirus in Dharavi slum on Sunday and the number of coronavirus cases in the area has reached 1,242. So far, 56 Dharavikars have lost their lives due to Corona. Six people from Mahim area were infected with coronavirus on Sunday and the number of coronaviruses in the area has reached 193. In Dadar too, five people were infected with coronavirus on Sunday and the number of patients in Dadar has risen to 159. So far, seven people in Dadar have died due to corona. These three areas are under the 'G-North' division of the municipality and the number of coronary victims within the limits of this division office has reached 1594.

A total of 1,571 Mumbaikars became infected with the coronavirus on Sunday. As a result, the number of corona cases in Mumbai has reached 19,969. On Sunday, 38 victims died. In view of the growing number of corona patients, one lakh beds have been made available to the patients.

So far, 734 people have died due to corona. Of the 38 people who died on Sunday, 23 had a chronic illness. About 678  suspects were admitted to various hospitals on Sunday. As a result, the number of suspected patients admitted in various hospitals so far has gone up to 19,350.

Meanwhile, if any symptoms like fever, cold, cough, difficulty in breathing are felt by the citizens, they should go to the municipal hospitals, hospitals, Corona Care Centers, private hospitals, etc., and get tested for Corona as per the advice of the doctors. A letter from a registered medical professional is required for corona testing, the municipality said.
