Healthy sexual life is a must for every individual. Dr.Kumar Kamble gives importance to mental health for healthy sexual life with his professional experience.

All mature people understand that a healthy sexual life is very important for overall well-being. With a healthy sexual life, you can aim to get overall emotional and psychological well-being. Awareness is the only solution to all reproductive and sexual health-related problems. At Medcircle, we are presenting the Ask The Expert Series on sexual health. The series is titled Bindas Bol with Dr. Kumar Kamble. 

Dr.Kumar Kamble is an expert Psychiatrist, De-addiction Specialist, Sexologist, Speaker, Mental and Sexual Health Educator. He is also associated with the Umang Clinic. He has worked with King Edward Memorial Hospital as a Medical Office Coordinator. His main interest lies in advocating correct information on sexual health and spreading awareness about the same. 

Episode 6 with Dr.Kumar Kamble deals with the tips for healthy sexual life. Dr. Kamble addresses the healthy sexual tips for males, females, and couples to maintain a better life. He provides a healthy outlook for males and females to maintain a healthy sexual life. 

Health tips for healthy sexual life in males

Dr.Kumar Kamble says, “Age is a very important factor to deal with when it comes to sexual life. As age advances, there are many changes in sexual life. Awareness about the same is very important which will help give a clear vision. With clear awareness, the misconceptions related to sexual life need to be clear. Adulthood sexual health calls for special attention. Awareness as per age is very important for healthy sexual life. Depending on authentic sources from doctors is very important. Correct guidance about sexual health is very important. 

An important tip for males to have a healthy sexual life

Dr.Kamble says, “ The foreskin over the glans penis should be kept clean. Males should maintain the hygiene of their genitals. This will help in the prevention of cancer and other related diseases.”

Health tips for healthy sexual life in females

Dr.Kamble informs,” Adapt to changes with age for sexual health. Awareness about healthy sexual health in females is very important. In females, awareness about menses before it starts during the menarche is a must. Education to girls is a must before the start of their menses to tackle fears in them. The situation of menarche should be easy to tackle for females with correct awareness. It is important to note that frequent changing of sanitary napkins is a must depending on the flow. As a part of communication and education, awareness among females is very important. Hygiene should be maintained by females which will help in maintaining healthy sexual life. Hygiene has a major impact on the prevention of reproductive diseases. Females should be aware of menopausal changes as per the mental aspect and the changes in the vagina. Maintenance of healthy sexual life is most important for females.”

Importance of healthy sexual health 

Dr.Kamble states, “Sexual health is related to the mental aspect too. If your body and system are healthy, then you can have sexual health. Emotional health should also be given importance to have good sexual health. Some of the important tips are:

Healthy diet  Adequate amount of water  Proper Sleep  A healthy mental balance will help in maintaining a healthy sexual life.

Important tips for couples to maintain healthy sexual life

Dr.Kamble informs, “Consent should be given top priority among the couples to enter into a sexual relationship. Healthy communication among the couples in regards to habits, likes, and dislikes should also be given importance. Reproduction and pregnancy for family planning should be given top priority.”

Benefits for healthy sexual life

Dr.Kamble emphasizes, “Sexual health is a part of our bodily system. Sexual activity is the normal functioning of the body. Just like we have an appetite, similarly, we have the desire for sex. There are many benefits to healthy sexual life:

Healthy immune system  Mental satisfaction improves the productivity and calmness  Improves focus and concentration Healthy prostate functioning will regular sexual activity  Reduces the chances of prostate cancer in males Good emotional balance Good sleep”
