Symptoms in coronavirus

Difference Between Flu and COVID-19

If you have flu, the above symptoms can make you a victim of mild flu or severe flu. At the same time, you will feel the above-mentioned symptoms of coronavirus too, but one symptom which is more likely to be infected with covid is loss of taste and smell.

How long after infection do symptoms start to occur?

In both covid and flu cases, a person starts feeling symptoms after a day or more. However, the time to feel the symptoms of Kovid is slightly longer than the time of feeling the symptoms of the flu. In the flu, symptoms begin to develop in the infected person within 1-4 days. On the other hand, a person with the coronavirus usually starts experiencing symptoms after 5 days. But in some cases, the symptoms appear in 2 days or even after 14 days.

Difference between coronavirus and flu outbreak

Common flu and COVID-19 both spread from person to person. Both these infections spread when the distance between two humans is 6 feet or less. Both infections spread when droplets of sputum from an infected person are passed on to the other person through coughing, sneezing, or talking. These sputum droplets reach the lungs directly through the mouth or nose.

There is also the possibility of spreading infection when a person shakes hands with an infected person or touches any material that contains the virus. After doing this, if a non-infected person touches his mouth, nose, or eyes, then he can get an infection. Both corona and flu can spread from person to person even when the infected person has either mild symptoms or no symptoms at all.

The ways of spreading both the coronavirus and flu are almost similar, but still, there is a slight difference. The coronavirus spreads rapidly in more populated areas and the elderly. The coronavirus is one of the fastest-spreading viruses compared to the flu.
