▴ COVID-19 Vaccination begins in Kargil at District Hospital
In Ladakh, Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan kick-started COVID-19 Vaccination in Kargil at the District Hospital today. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Munawar Hussain Wazir received the first shot of COVID-19 Vaccine.

In Ladakh, Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan kick-started COVID-19 Vaccination in Kargil at the District Hospital today. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Munawar Hussain Wazir received the first shot of COVID-19 Vaccine.
 
Speaking on the occasion, CEC Feroz Khan applauded the efforts of the Health Care Workers, Administration and civil society for containing the pandemic until the arrival of COVID-19 vaccine and called it a historic day for Kargil.
 
Mr Khan underscored the importance of the vaccination and said that all should vaccinate themselves and also suggested to avoid the rumors relating to the vaccine.

The CEC added that it is due to the relentless dedication of the scientists that the nation has been able to develop the vaccine in the country. He also lauded the team of the Health Department in Kargil for carrying out the drive with proper precautions and precision.

 
CMO Dr Wazir said that it is like normal vaccination and requested the people to enroll themselves to get vaccinated on priority when their turn comes and avoid rumor-mongering.
 
Meanwhile, 98 health workers are scheduled to get vaccinated on the first day today and proper care and precautions have been taken to accomplish the vaccination. In all, 2,224 health workers are going to get vaccinated in a phased manner at 23 Vaccination Centres in Kargil District during the First Phase of vaccination.
 
Proper management of the vaccination has been taken into consideration by dividing the Vaccination Centre into a waiting room, vaccination room and observation room. Besides, paramedical staff have been deployed in adequate numbers at all vaccination centres across the district to carry out the drive with proper protocols.
