A total of 939 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus infection was reported in Delhi during the last 24 hours taking the total number of cases to over 6.18 lakh.

Delhi Government said that over 5.99 lakh people have been cured so far.

In the last 24 hours, 1,434 people recovered and 25 deaths were also reported in the city taking the toll to 10,329.

Presently, the total number of active cases in the national capital is 8,735.

Daily new cases in Delhi have seen a fall over the last few days after it had emerged as the epicenter of the country’s mini Covid-19 surge during the festive season last month.

In November, the city had seen more than 8,000 cases per day, as well as its highest number of deaths in a single day, with experts suggesting that Delhi was witnessing a “third wave” of coronavirus
