New Delhi, 17th April 2024: IG Drones, a pioneering force in India's drone technology and analytics sector, has solidified a strategic partnership with the Aerospace and Aviation Sector Skill Council (AASSC). This landmark collaboration, endorsed by Mr. Om Prakash Das, Founder and COO of IG Drones, and Retired Commander AKN Balaji, CEO of AASSC, is poised to revolutionize skill development in drone technology and allied fields across the nation, with support from the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).  This partnership aims at upskilling 10 million youth with Drone Technology.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signifies a pivotal moment in addressing the burgeoning demand for adept professionals in the dynamic drone industry. At the core of this initiative is the ambition to furnish individuals with comprehensive expertise essential for navigating diverse facets of drone technology, encompassing piloting, operations, maintenance, and data analysis.

Under the terms of the agreement, IG Drones and AASSC will synergize their resources and knowledge to craft and deliver meticulously designed training modules tailored to industry requisites. The program's focal point lies in augmenting participants' proficiency in drone technology, ensuring their readiness to contribute meaningfully to the burgeoning drone ecosystem. This collaborative endeavor is poised to catalyze innovation, entrepreneurship, and employment opportunities within the expansive drone sector throughout India.

Expressing enthusiasm on the collaboration, Mr. Bodhisattwa Sanghapriya, IG Drones said, "This MoU will foster skill development in drone space, aided by NSDC that is already upgrading the youth in the country in different areas and providing employment. There is a high demand for skilled professionals in the country and this partnership will further empower our youth by helping them excel in various aspects of drone technology. We look forward for more such initiatives to bring IG Drones on a national level and play a role in providing training in latest drone technologies."

Renowned for its groundbreaking surveillance capabilities, IG Drones introduced India's maiden 5G Drone in January last year. Notably, the company secured a contract to survey the Uttarakhand Metro Rail Project, aimed at constructing a Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) corridor under the Neo Metro System—the country's inaugural endeavor of its kind. The Neo Metro Project endeavors to erect state-of-the-art rapid transit systems in Dehradun, Haridwar, and Rishikesh within the forthcoming four years, alleviating traffic congestion. With a steadfast commitment to innovation and propelled by state-of-the-art drone technology, IG Drones is poised to assume a leadership role in the drone industry, significantly contributing to India's infrastructure advancement.
