In Madhya Pradesh, the State Government has started fever clinics to make the screening facilities related to coronavirus more easily available to the people. Additional Chief Secretary Health, Mohammad Suleman said that the government is going to start fever clinics in every locality, ward and area. Fever clinics will be both in government and the private sector.
As per the official information, 1391 Fever Clinics have started functioning in all districts of the state where health check-up on 42,151 people has already been conducted. Of these, 30,555 people have been advised home isolation and samples of 6500 people have been taken for Corona test.
Any person with symptoms of cold, cough, flu can go to the fever clinic and get their test done. Based on the investigation in the Fever Clinic, it can be sent to COVID Care Centre. At the same time, the Social Justice and Disability Welfare Directorate have set up an eight-member cell to manage the homecoming of the Divyangs and the elderly during the Coronavirus outbreak in the state. Divyangs and old age people can contact the control room of the directorate on 0755-2556916 for their problems.
Meanwhile, according to the MP government five lakh migrant workers from Madhya Pradesh, who were stranded in different parts of the country due to the lockdown, have been brought back to their home state, a government official said today. As of Friday, the state government had brought back over five lakh migrants, mostly by buses, reported additional chief secretary ICP Keshari .
At least 3.52 lakh migrants have returned to MP by buses while 1.46 lakh others returned on 119 special trains, said the state corona virus control room. Keshari said 2.02 lakh migrants were brought back from Gujarat, 1.12 lakh from Maharashtra and 1.10 lakh from Rajasthan.
Apart from these, stranded migrants were also brought back from Goa, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Telangana, he said. The state government has also been transporting migrant workers coming from other states to the Madhya Pradesh-Uttar Pradesh border.
In view of the plight of migrant workers stuck in different parts of the country amidst the lockdown, the Railways started operating 'Shramik Special' trains on May 1. The Centre had announced considerable relaxations during the third phase of the lockdown, which had kicked in on May 4, regarding the inter-state movement of migrant labourers, students, tourists and other people with priority accorded to those stranded in green and orange zones.
