Faridabad, 5th October 2026: Fortis Escorts Hospital Faridabad in association with Faridabad Industries Association (FIA) Charitable Society and Rotary Club Faridabad has launched, ‘Sehat Express’ - a dedicated mobile healthcare bus offering free cancer screening, medical consultations, and health awareness services to communities across Faridabad and adjoining areas. The formal flag-off of Sehat Express was done by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Haryana, Shri Nayab Singh Saini during the Faridabad Half Marathon at Surajkund Mela Grounds, Faridabad.

Conceptualised under the campaign “Sehat Express – Sehat Aapke Dwaar, Prevention Har Baar,” the initiative aims to bring cancer and health screenings, expert medical consultations and health awareness services to the doorsteps of Faridabad residents. The mobile healthcare bus will conduct regular, free-of-cost outreach camps across villages, industrial hubs, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) and residential societies in Faridabad and adjoining areas, helping bridge gaps in access to preventive healthcare.

Committed to maximizing the outreach, the initiative aims to cover over 100 community locations within its first year of operation. The vehicle features specialized equipment, including Mammography and X-Ray units, focusing primarily on targeted cancer screenings along with general diagnostic assessments. Fortis Escorts Hospital Faridabad doctors onboarding the Sehat Express will be available for consultation to residents to address health issues.

Navdeep Chawla, Chairman, FIA Charitable Society, said, "Taking essential healthcare services directly to the people is critical for building a healthier community. The launch of Sehat Express reflects our collective commitment to ensuring that preventive health screenings and early diagnosis tools are accessible to everyone, including workers in industrial clusters and residents in rural and suburban areas. Through this initiative, we hope to encourage regular health check-ups and make timely medical evaluation a routine practice."

Mr Mohan Soni, President Rotary Club of Faridabad Midtown said, “Ensuring accessible and preventive healthcare at the doorstep is a vital step toward building a healthier society. The launch of Sehat Express is a commendable community outreach initiative. By bringing specialized diagnostic tools like mammography and X-ray directly to villages, residential areas, and industrial sectors across Faridabad, this program will enable early detection, timely medical intervention, and greater health awareness among citizens.”

Dr. B.D. Pathak, Senior Director, GI, Minimal Access and Bariatric Surgery, Dr. Siddharth Shankar Sood, Senior Consultant, Medical Oncology, Haemato-Oncology and Cellular Therapies, Dr. Itisha Chaudhary, Senior Consultant, Surgical Oncology at Fortis Escorts Faridabad said “Timely diagnosis and treatment are crucial in the fight against cancer. By bringing specialized medical oncology and screening directly to the doorsteps of our communities, the 'Sehat Express' initiative ensures that no patient has to face delays in early detection and life-saving care. Access to preventive healthcare should never be a matter of geography or privilege. With the launch of 'Sehat Express,' we are moving cancer screenings from hospital corridors straight into the heart of our neighborhood, empowering individuals to take charge of their health through early evaluation.”

Dr. Abhishek Sharma, Facility Director, Fortis Escorts Hospital, Faridabad, said, "Early detection plays a crucial role in improving treatment outcomes, particularly for chronic conditions and non-communicable diseases like cancer. With Sehat Express, we are bringing specialized diagnostic capabilities, such as mammography and radiology, right to the doorstep of the community.
