In Gujarat, a statewide free mega vaccine campaign for citizens above 18 years of age was launched in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Mr Shah appealed to citizens of the state to take maximum advantage of the free mega vaccination campaign. Shah, who is on a two-day visit to the state, visited Rupal and Kothwad public health centres in Gandhinagar district. The Minister also inaugurated developmental work worth Rs 34 crore in Gandhinagar district.

Earlier, addressing the media in Ahmedabad, Mr Shah called the PM’s decision to provide free vaccination to people above 18 years as an important step towards speeding up the vaccination campaign.
